CAT’S BAR SONG NUMBER ONE

in a wild world, at the t.v. room:
I’m—under muscle men in underpants
and striped black, white star,
scar- painted faces, while
they bleed and they pound on
their heavyweight champ— yes, I’m
getting by on that smile.
